Deprecation of Azure Storage Use in Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations

Authors list

Earlier today, we identified an issue regarding the deprecation of Azure Storage use in Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, which, therefore, also affects Lasernet FO Connector.

This deprecation has been introduced within a Quality update and blocks the Flight-mode access to Azure Storage. Loss of access to the Azure Storage will result in the errors outlined below when attempting to print reports with Lasernet.

Microsoft has released a fix for this issue in Quality Update 65 (10.0.41). Therefore, we advise users on 10.0.41 to ensure they are on a working Quality Update.

The following versions ARE NOT WORKING: from 10.0.41 (10.0.2015.97 - 102).

The following versions ARE WORKING: 10.0.41 (10.0.2015.54 and 0.0.2015.103+ or newer) and 10.0.42. (Last updated January 2024)

Update from Microsoft

Microsoft have acknowledged the issue, and the fix is currently in status 3. The issue number is 4444487.

Are you able to provide details on which hotfix it was within the PQU that causes the breaking change? We are on a version somewhere in between the ones you list as working and not working. We reviewed the list of fixes in the PQU and don't see anything that looks to be applicable.

Customer are not able to pause quality updates from Microsoft, as they come proactively through PQUs. These are already being deployed for version MS 10.0.41. Therefore, this will need to get fixed before customers are force-upgraded to the mentioned versions.
