The latest version of Formpipe’s Lasernet Connector - 6.20 - has been released for Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations versions 10.0.37 (PU61), 10.0.38 (PU62), and 10.0.39 (PU63).

However, when users upgrade to Finance and Operations 10.0.39 (PU63), they might encounter an error such as the following during a few different processes:

One of the processes that will trigger the error is using the Resend with force rerun function from the Lasernet Archive. This will affect archive records that use a table whose structure has changed in 10.0.39 PU63 and created prior to version 6.20.

To resolve this error, install Lasernet FO Connector 6.20. Using the Resend function for reports printed in Lasernet FO Connector 6.20 and later will work as expected.

How to ensure Resend with force rerun continues to work for all records

To prevent the error during this process, we recommend installing Lasernet FO Connector 6.20 and running the Optimize Lasernet Log job before upgrading to Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations 10.0.39 PU63.

In Lasernet FO Connector 6.20, the Optimize Lasernet log function MINIMIZE RE-PROCESSING DATA has undergone some changes to ensure records are saved in a way that allows the use of Resend with force rerun even if the structure of the tables changes over time.

What happens if Lasernet FO Connector 6.20 is installed after the upgrade to Dynamics 365 FO 10.0.39 (PU63)

If Lasernet FO Connector 6.20 is installed after upgrading to 10.0.39 PU63 and Resend with force rerun is used from the Lasernet Archive on an affected record, the Resend data size field will display the message “Error.” A prompt will provide information on the affected record, and the user will have the choice to remove the Force rerun option from the affected records.
